Like the O Na! Y Morgans Christmas Special, the opportunity to do special effects for one of S4C's premiere drama series came from the success of our work on the O Na! Y Morgans series. While most of the work on Morgans was 2D, there was some live-action compositing done to add visual effects to the actors for specific scenes. When we came to do the Christmas Special, we used the opportunity to combine live action and CG to create an animated character who could interact with the cast. With Con Passionate, however, we were given the chance of doing the complete opposite: filming the cast on a giant greenscreen set and building the environment around them.
