The DC Thompson stand was brimming with artists, although since I hadn't read The Beano for about twenty years all were unfamilar to me. Wayne draws a strip called Jak for The Dandy and its style is certainly different to the styles I remember! It's strange seeing up-to-date Japan-inspired designs in a long running comic like The Dandy but most children's art has been inspired by Asian animation this past decade or two.
