Sean is the artist for the excellent Criminal series, written by Ed Brubaker, and he was at the convention with hardback copies of the latest publication, a collection of shorter stories from the same hardboiled world. Again, a really worthwhile purchase and I'm looking forward to many more from them. This sketch is of one of the characters from that book, a black boxer who falls in love with the wrong woman and can't escape his past. (Birmingham International Comic Show 2008)

Sean drew me a Marvel Zombies sketch at the last convention when I knew little of his other work. This time, however, I was armed with a copy of his book Criminal written by Ed Brubaker to be signed and have a drawning done of the principle character. (Bristol International Comics Expo 2008)

I'd heard Marvel Zombies mentioned in the office so when Sean said that he was drawing them, I knew I needed a gallery of flesh eating mutants! What I really like about this banner is the energy from the characters - they leap right out of the page at you. It was also interesting to see Sean's roughs laid out in blue pen first before being inked in black. Although you can't see it on this banner, his line reaches beyond the boundaries of the frame which makes them seem even more alive. I also picked up a copy of Criminal: Coward (written by Ed Brubaker and drawn by Sean). (Birmingham International Comic Show 2007)
