Rufus began his career in animation, working on a number of Warner Bros films and the early videos for Gorillaz. More recently, he's produced art for a number of small press comics and that launchpad of many careers, 2000AD. His latest projects for IDW include Tank Girl and Metal Gear Solid with Ashley Wood.  I met Rufus on the Friday night of the convention when a group of us (including the ever-generous Mike Collins) took a break from the launch party to find some food. The next day I made sure I was in the signing room when Rufus was doing sketches. Being somewhat ignorant of nearly everyone's work at the convention (must study harder next time), as soon as Rufus said that he'd been drawing Tank Girl, I thought it was an ideal subject for a banner.
