 I'd got a sketch by Roger at the Bristol convention earlier in the year, before I really knew his work. This time, however, I was able to pick up a collected book of his Fred the Clown character and add a new banner to my collection. This sketch is of Knuckles the Malevolent Nun, possibly one of the most unsettling and darkest comic stories I've ever read. I think that's a good thing! (Birmingham International Comic Show 2008) |

 I'd already seen Fred the Clown somewhere before (although I can't remember where!) so I asked him for a sketch and a taster of his work. I bought an issue of Fred the Clown and Knuckles the Malevolent Nun and later found them funny and unsettling in equal measure! I look forward to getting more from him at another convention.
