Mike began his career in the late 60's after a ten year stint in the U. S. Marine Corps. He worked for Marvel in the 70's, designing and drawing titles including Ghost Rider and Werewolf by Night. He has since worked in the movie industry drawing storyboards and currently writes and publishes his won work, mainly children's books.

Mike was another artist I'd been unable to catch at previous conventions. I'd first seen Mike at a Welsh Animation Group meeting where he came and did a talk about his career, in particular storyboarding for blockbuster movies, drawing various American comics and being friends with Steve Spielberg. He's recently started writing and drawing his own children's books and they're all beautifully drawn. He's got a really confident pencil-line style that packs in so much detail and energy but seems so effortless when you see him work. I hope to get some more from him at future conventions.
