Leigh began working in comics at 2000AD in 2003 and has since penciled The Witching for Vertigo and Defoe, written by Pat Mills. Leigh is current working on the second series of Defoe, among other things. Home page 2000AD profile

Leigh was among the first set of artists I got sketches from three years ago at the Birmingham convention and I've been in touch with him ever since. The series he's been drawing for the past few years, Defoe, has finally been collected as a trade paperback (with more to follow!) so I gave Jenny my copy for him to sign. In return for that honour, Leigh did me a lovely sketch of the immortal Dredd. Such a wonderful man and I very much hope to meet up with him again, probably in another three years. (London MCM Expo)

This really cool banner from Leigh is the title character from Defoe, a 17th century zombie hunter (to continue the zombie theme on the Sunday! I'd met Leigh at the opening night party at the convention and made sure I booked a sketch from him before his schedule was completely filled. I'm really looking forward to reading the collected edition of this strip, probably available over the next two years (knowing 2000AD.) (Birmingham International Comic Show 2007) |
