Kevin O'Neill
Kevin O'Neill began his career as a colourist on children's comics, such as Buster. On learning that 2000AD was about to launch, he joined that publication and drew the first cover. He subsequently worked on Future Shocks and Nemesis the Warlock. After leaving 2000AD, he worked on a number of American titles and has most recently drawn The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, written by Alan Moore.

Kevin was my first sketch of the Bristol Comics Expo 2009. I'd walked around the main exhibition area in the Ramada but I knew that Kevin was doing an early morning signed at the Small Press expo at the nearby Mercure. A few weeks previously, I'd gone down to London to get a copy of the new League of Extraordinary Gentlemen book, 1910, and have it signed by both Alan Moore and Kevin. Now was my chance to get a sketch as well! Luckily, some confusion at the Mercure meant that the crowds started to queue at the wrong table and I was able to slide in front of the real table before everyone realised.
