Artist List

Hunt Emerson
Hunt established his career in the British underground comics scene of the late 70's and early 80's. His prolific output includes humerous and very adult adaptations of classic stories such as Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Lady Chatterley's Lover and Cassanova.

I got a sketch from Hunt at the last Bristol convention and then a piece of original artwork at the Birmingham one. He's a really good comics artist with a pleasingly saucy wit and I enjoy picking up a couple of his books each time. This sketch is of the characters he drew for the recently folded weekly The DFC. Hunt has been drawing underground comics for years and his ribald variations on classic tales such as the Rime of the Ancient Mariner, as featured in this sketch of the mocking albatross. I also bought a couple of his books and enjoyed them immensely and look forward to getting more at the next convention. Adult, certainly, but wickedly funny. (Bristol International Comics Expo 2008)
