My second trip to the DC Thompson stand brought me another round of sketches, including this one from Duncan Scott of his strip The Neds. It was a bit unfortunate that I didn't know more about the modern Beano strips but I wasn't really expecting to meet so many artists on the stand. It was funny, though, seeing the rather nervous young children being brought by their fathers to meet the artists behind the comics. Fathers who had been raised on Beano and Dandy and were now trying to enthuse their offspring, who in fact would have been happier just reading the comics rather than making polite conversation with the creators!
