Seated between D'Israeli and Sean Phillips at the Birmingham convention, Duncan was my last sketch of the Saturday. Not knowing a lot about his work, I asked if there was something personal he'd like to draw and he suggested drawing action characters for his banner. I should have asked him more about them but the convention was closing. Like Mike Mignola, he has an ability to draw with simple lines and shapes to suggest movement.
