 Dave is a good friend of Mike Collins and I'd met him previously at the other conventions. This time, he was staying at the same hotel and appearing on the DFC stand to promote his new strip Lazarus Lemming that is just about to start its run in the comic. Like the DC Thompson stand at the Bristol convention, the DFC stand gave me the chance to get a couple of sketches in a row. Dave's style is classically simple like Herge and suits the new children's publication. (Birmingham International Comic Show 2008) |
